When does registration open?
January 1st, 2013
What is the race registration fee?
• January 1st – January 31st: $30
• February 1st – February 28th: $35
• March 1st – Registration close: $40
• Race Day Registration: $45
*Race day registration may not be available in all cities, please check with your local race director. Registration fee does not include Run Sign Up processing charge.
What is included in race registration fee?

How will I know my registration has been completed?
You will receive an email confirmation
When does registration close?
Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. Friday, May 10th unless race reaches capacity first. Register early, don’t miss out!
Is there gear check?
No, we do not offer gear check.
Is there race day package pick-up?
Yes, however we strongly encourage all participants to pick-up their package prior to race day to avoid long lines, holding extra gear or missing the start! Run Like A Mother starts on time, no exceptions!
Are walkers allowed?
Yes, walkers are allowed however the course closes one hour after the start time. All athletes must be off the course by that time.
Is there a rain date?
No, Run Like A Mother happens rain or shine.
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably. Race in the clothes you train in. DO NOT try any new clothing or shoes on race day.
What medical information should I know before participating?
If you are new to exercise or just beginning a running program, please seek the advice of your general practitioner. Know before you go!
Are bathroom facilities available?
Yes, porta potties will be located near the start and finish lines.
What if I can’t finish the race?
If you can’t finish the race, please let a volunteer know.
Can my children participate?
• Run Like A Mother offers a timed 1-mile kids race for all kids under 12 that will take place prior to the 5K. Girls 12 and over can participate in the 5K.
• Kid’s 1-mile race registration fee: $15
• Registration fee includes: race day t-shirt, bib & chip time, finisher ribbon
• Parents of younger children can run the1-mile course with their “athlete”
Can my children cross the finish line with me?
Yes! Your children can run the last 50 yards with you, however please be conscious of other runners, children and spectators at a crowded finish line.
What if there is no Run Like A Mother race in my city?
We’re working on bringing Run Like A Mother to more cities each year and hope to be in yours soon! If we haven’t reached your city yet, you can still Run Like a Mother.
Grab some friends and hit the road on Mother’s Day to start your own run ritual. Register for our Virtual Run Like A Mother race and receive our official race-day t-shirt and training plan. Get up early, grab the girlfriends and Run Like a Mother! We’d love to hear all about your own Run Like A Mother. Post your story and pictures on our Facebook page and share your Mother’s Day run with the rest of our community. Have fun!
Can Run Like A Mother help me train?
YES! In addition to the online training plan, Run Like A Mother offers our official 6-week group training program in each race city. Our program is a great way to meet new friends and get to the start line feeling completely prepared. Participants are grouped based on their ability and coaches are always present. Registration fee is $25. Space is limited, don’t miss out!
Who is eligible for awards?
• 5K: Top 3 overall (gun time), top 3 by age group (chip time) and top 3 teams with the combined fastest chip time.
• Kid’s 1-mile: Top 3 overall (gun time) and top 3 by age group (chip time). Boys and girls will be awarded separately.
• Athletes are only eligible to win one category, except for the team category. If your team wins, you are still eligible to win an individual award.
Can men participate?
It’s Mother’s Day and we are well…Run Like A Mother! We are a female focused event but if you slip through the cracks we won’t turn you away. Male participants are not eligible for awards nor do we offer men’s participant tees. Boys under 12 may run in the 1-mile kid’s race.
I have a friend who cannot participate in the event. Can I take her place?
Sorry, there are no bib transfers available.
Can I get a refund?
Your race entry is non-refundable. There are no refunds for canceled entries nor can your race entry be deferred until next year.
How is the race timed?
Races are timed using disposable chip technology. Depending on your race city, your chip will either be attached to your bib or you will need to attach to your shoe. We will have staff to help you and answer any questions at packet pick up.
Is there an official race photographer?
Yes! We will have a photographer out there taking plenty of pictures. There will be a link on our website within a few days of the race.
Are jogging strollers allowed in the event?
Run Like a Mother supports running with strollers as a means for fitness and enjoyment for baby and Mom, however due to the size of each race, official city ordinances and insurance reasons we are unable to allow strollers in all of our Run Like A Mother races. We do have many means to involve your child such as; the Kid’s One Mile race, a child can run in the last 50 yards of the 5K with mom or they can cheer Mom with a poster decorated by them and provided by Run Like a Mother. The only Run Like A Mother races that allow running with strollers are:

• Frisco, TX
• Portland, OR
• Seattle, WA
Is there race day registration?
Yes, there will be race day registration available for any races that have not been sold out prior to race day. Registration will be available on location via written registration form. Be sure to check the Run Like A Mother website for registration status in your race area.
